A gorgeous day in Kent (again) but I couldn’t face another of the fifty walks – I am full of cold and the garden was much more appealing, especially after noticing that the ‘wild corner’ (or the bit we can’t be bothered to touch) has started producing some wild Strawberries. So here it is, the results of laying in the garden for an hour or so with a macro lens and a bunged up nose.

Something has clearly had a go at a few of the Strawberries, though this hole has made quite an amusing addition to me… not of course to a certain someone that was collecting good Strawbs for pudding after I had taken a photo.

I am glad I saw a Zebra Spider too – they are a great little species of jumping spider, usually only about 5mm long, but those eyes are just stunning. Nervous little swines tho, so was lucky this one hang around long enough to pose.

I am not entirely sure what this is, tho it looks like a tiny Field Grasshopper, but I could well be mistaken. It was only about 8mm long.

Spiders are too hard to identify, or rather, I find them too hard to identify unless they are Zebra Spiders. Cute tho.

A fun and vaguely productive (photographically speaking) hour in an area of about three square metres, which goes to show that there are plenty of things to see, if you look closely enough.
