First Macro Shoot of 2016

Now that Spring is here, the garden is coming to life with insects and I was able to spend a little time in the garden with the Tamron 90mm f/2.8 VC, Nikon D750 and Nissin MF18 Macro Ringflash. I picked up the ringflash at the end of last Summer but haven’t really played with it at all. I’m pleased to say it worked out nicely.

All of these Bee photos were shot at around f/16 – f/18 with flash.

The following Hoverfly photo was also taken at f/16 with flash.

The following Slug photos were taken without flash.

I’m looking forward to more sunny mornings.
