Nikon D750 – My First Images

There really wasn’t a choice for the first photo subjects with my new camera – the furballs were always going to feature in those first few shutter clicks. I was keen to test out the low light capabilities too, and how well my old 50mm f/1.4 would behave on a full frame body – 50mm on a crop sensor is too long for indoor full body cat shots most of the time. Anyway, I wasn’t disappointed and probably fell in love with this camera after about five shots.

Just to push the limits, the next shot is at iso 51,200. Whilst I’d not recommend this setting for professional use, if it helps me get a cute shot of The Boy in the dark, I’ll use it!

I’m really looking forward to getting to know this camera.
